FURNITURE DESIGN

(PRODUCT DESIGN - BJORK STUDIO, 2016)
Bjork studio is a bespoke hand made furniture design studio in Atlanta. The clientele is interior designers and homeowners. 

Client: Interior designers and homeowners


Venue: Atlanta, Georgia

 

Team: 1 design intern, 2 interior designers, 1 design head (owner), manufacturing shop staff 

 

Total internship time: 8 months

User goal: Furniture that fits their aesthetic, usage needs and space provided
 

My role: Meet clients, design furniture to the client's requirements and prepare shop drawings for manufacture of the same once approved by the client
 

Tools used: Sketch Up, Photoshop, Illustrator

BAY WINDOW SOFA

  • A residence in Sandy springs, Georgia needed a sofa in front of a big bay window. The window had a beautiful view outside so the sofa was kept low but deep with a deep back incline of 9 inches. The scalloped back was inspired by the window design. 
     

QUEEN BED

  • The client needed a high headboard for a room with high ceilings and no artwork above the bed. The headboard needed to be ornate but still clean and modern. ​

FLOATING CURVED SOFA

  • Residential postmodern piece for a sitting room. Inspired by the beautiful fabric with light self-print and luster

ZIG ZAG SOFA

  • Double-sided sofa for a store gallery​

TUFTED DAY BED

  • Quirky tufted day bed on pineapple legs.
